Moon Calendar — May 2028
The Moon's zodiac sign for every day of May 2028, with sign-change times and all four phases — computed from real planetary positions. Times are UTC.
The Moon in May 2028
In May 2028 the Moon changes zodiac sign 14 times and passes through all 12 signs. It starts the month in Leo on May 1 and ends it in Virgo on May 31. Counting the sign it occupies at noon UTC each day, it spends the most days in Leo (5 days), Virgo (3 days) and Libra (3 days).
The main lunar phases this month are: First Quarter on May 2 in Leo, Full Moon on May 8 in Scorpio, Last Quarter on May 16 in Aquarius, New Moon on May 24 in Gemini and First Quarter on May 31 in Virgo.
For context: the Moon circles the zodiac in about 27.3 days, so it usually stays in one sign for roughly 2 to 2.5 days before moving on. Its phases follow the longer synodic month of about 29.5 days — the time from one new moon to the next — which is why each phase lands on a different date every month. All times here are UTC, so a sign change or phase near midnight may fall on the neighboring date in your time zone.
